ABOUT MANOKO JEWELRY

The Story Behind Manoko

I believe everyone has a story. A long one. And somewhere inside that story, there is a source, a core of love and energy that quietly drives everything you do.

Mine begins with my father.

I lost him when I was very young. I don't remember his face. And yet, somehow, he has been with me every single day of my life. That is the strange and beautiful thing about love. It doesn't need a memory to be real. His kindness, his values, the way people speak of him even now, that is the image I carry. That is my why.

My name is Yuko. I'm a gemologist, a jewelry designer, and the founder of Manoko Jewelry. I was born and raised in Thailand, where I spent over a decade building something I'm deeply proud of. It started simply, selling on Facebook in 2014, setting up at weekend flea markets, slowly finding my footing. Then came international trade fairs, a growing brand, and a business built entirely on passion and persistence.

My sister and brother-in-law gave me my first real chance, and I never forgot it. Neither did I forget the piece of paper I wrote as a young woman with a list of dreams, one of which was to start a business. Not for fame. Not for money. To make my dad proud. To offer something meaningful to the world.

Two years ago, I closed that chapter and started a new one.

I left Thailand, everything I had built, everything familiar, and moved to Seattle. A new country. A new culture. A new language. A new life.

Those two years were not easy. But they taught me more than I could have planned. Patience. Resilience. How to begin again. And how love, quiet, stubborn, unconditional love, can carry your dreams across the world.

Today, Manoko is beginning again. Here, in Seattle.

Not just as a jewelry brand, but as a reflection of my story, my heart, and every person and experience that shaped me along the way. Each piece I create carries emotion, memory, softness, and strength. I believe jewelry can hold meaning far beyond beauty. It can hold who you are, who you loved, and who you are becoming.

Seattle, I'm ready to share this with you.

This is a new beginning for Manoko. And I'm so glad you're here for it.
